LONDON - A research by insurers Aviva has presented a snapshot of the average Briton.

The study says the most common surname is Smith, reports The Scotsman.

“Non-smoking Mr. and Mrs. Smith couple will have the average two-car; a three-bedroom detached house, called as The Cottage.

“That will be built around the turn of the 20th century, situated on the High Street, with Mr. and Mrs. Jones at Rose Cottage and Mr. and Mrs. Williams at The Bungalow as neighbours.

“The other common thing will be that “Smiths” will have one bathroom and their usual holiday in Spain,” according to the study.

David Tyers, director of marketing at Aviva, said: “Who would have thought that in the days of loft extensions and exotic holiday destinations, the good, old-fashioned ‘Cottage’ would still be the most common house name, and that Spain would still top our holiday list?” (ANI)
