Inter-group terrorists’ collaboration on the rise in Pakistan

LONDON - The Ahmadi mosques massacre in Lahore has exposed the disturbing trend of growing inter-group cooperation amongst various terrorist outfits.

While authorities have maintained that the Taliban are behind the attack, investigators believe that the links can be traced from Lahore to North Waziristan.

Witnesses told the Daily Times that the attacks were carried out by both Punjabi and Pashtun gunmen, and the reports could mean that extremists in Punjab are being trained by the Taliban.

Syed Rashid Rahim, a survivor of the deadly attack recounted the harrowing ordeal saying that the ruthless attackers were unperturbed by the death and despair that they had caused.

He said that while many innocent people’s corpses laid there for almost three hours, the fiendish militants calmly reloaded their ammunition.

“They had no repentance on their faces,” Rahim told the Financial Times. “These people are like beasts.” (ANI)
