RANCHI - In a sudden political development here, Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren is likely to call on State Governor M.O.H Farook at around 9.45 p.m. today.

Soren’s meeting with Governor Farook holds importance in the wake of Congress Party asking him to step down from the post before holding any consultation over forming a new alliance in the state.

Soren is scheduled to seek the Vote of Confidence in the floor of the Assembly on Monday.

Earlier in the day, in a last attempt, Soren’s Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) asked all legislators to listen to their inner voice and vote for Soren to avoid President’s rule or mid-term polls.

The JMM, which has 18 MLAs, needs the support of the 42 members to sail through the confidence vote.

At present the Soren government has the support of 25 MLAs-JMM-18, AJSU-5 and Independent 2. (ANI)
