Now, Pak detains ‘intelligence’ man over alleged links with failed Times Square bomber

LONDON - Pakistani officials have detained a man named Humbal Akhtar, who reportedly works for the Pakistan intelligence in connection with alleged links with failed Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad.

According to officials, Akhtar is currently under detention and is being quizzed for his role in the botched Times Square bombing plot.

Akhtar’s wife, Rahila, also confirmed that her husband disappeared a few days ago. She, however, declined to give more details, The Telegraph reports.

Around 11 persons have been detained in Pakistan, including an Army Major, in connection with the May 1 terror plot. (ANI)
