Police arrests 26/11 co-conspirator in Mangalore

Mangalore, May 24 (ANI): A team of intelligence officials has arrested the co-conspirator of the 26/11 Mumbai attack, Abdul Samad Bhatkal, in Mangalore on Monday.

Abdul is a close relative of Riyaz Ahmed Bhatkal, who is a key member of Indian Mujahideen (IM).

Abdul landed from Dubai at around 8 a.m. in the Bajpe Airport and was picked by the police immediately.

According to sources, Abdul was on way to his native place Bhatkal in Uttar Kannada District.

There was a lookout notice served against Abdul for the past eight months for his alleged involvement in the 26/11 attacks.

A Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) team is in the city and is questioning him at an undisclosed location. (ANI)
