Family, friends in fear over ‘honour killing’ of Brit Pak family

LONDON - The reported “honour” killing of British Muslim family in Jaurah in Pakistan’s Gujrat District last week has left family and friends fearing that there could be more deaths.
According to reports, relatives of Mohammed Yousaf, his wife Pervaze, and their Tania, have received further threats.
“It is terrifying for everyone out there. They feel that anything could happen and that justice might not be done,” The Daily Star quoted Eileen Ansar, a relative in Nelson, Lancashire, as saying.
The trio was gunned down, allegedly by family members in a blood feud in a graveyard in Pakistan, and were buried on Friday amid tight security.
The family feud is thought to centre on the collapse of the arranged marriage between the Yousafs’ son Kamar and his cousin Nabeela.
The Yousafs had stayed on after the wedding for a holiday while the rest of their extended family flew home. They were expected home on Monday. They had gone to the cemetery to say prayers at the grave of a family member.
Meanwhile, Pakistani police have made arrests connected with the killings. (ANI)
