Kerala declares two-day mourning for Mangalore crash victims

KASARAGOD - The Government of Kerala on Saturday declared a two-day mourning for victims of the Air India Express flight from Dubai to Mangalore, as most of the passengers on board are reported to be from the state.

Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan left for Mangalore by road on Saturday morning on hearing about the crash.

Meanwhile, a control room has been opened at Kasaragod to provide information about passengers involved in the mishap. The telephone number of the control room is 04994-257700 and the toll free number is 1079. (ANI)
