LONDON - Hampshire Police have unveiled a 1,000-pound, pedal-powered patrol car complete with siren and flashing lights.

PC Keith Waller believes that engaging youngsters to construct the trendy Noddy-car vehicle for the British Pedal Car Grand Prix will help the community.

“Getting youngsters involved gives them something to focus on so they are not committing antisocial behaviour,” The Times quoted him as saying.

He spent 40 hours building it with teenagers at Ringwood Comprehensive School to try to make the image of the police “cooler”, but he admitted that it drew comparisons with Mr Plod rom Noddy. (ANI)
