URS says nuclear cleanup contract extended
SAN FRANCISCO — URS Corp. said Wednesday that its contract with the U.S. Department of Energy to clean up nuclear waste near Carlsbad, N.M., has been extended another two years through September 2012.
URS is managing the cleanup in a partnership called Washington TRU Solutions with Weston Solutions Holdings Inc.
The company said the contract extension is worth up to $428.5 million for the partnership.
URS shares fell 44 cents to $46.53 in afternoon trading.
