Musharraf to contest next elections in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has confirmed that he would contest the next general elections, as he has decided to join politics on public demand.
Addressing the first ever meeting of his newly formed political party, the All Pakistan Muslim League in London, Musharraf said the country is faced with multiple challenges, as both the PPP and the PML-N have failed to govern.
He said politics should be above personal interests and added that he would return to the country and face the circumstances bravely, The Nation reports.
Over 50 people, including Barrister Saif and Rashid Qureshi attended the meeting, which was held at Musharraf’s London residence.
