Oldest conjoined twins need money for Ohio home

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio — Construction crews need $15,000 to continue work on an Ohio home for two men certified as the world’s oldest living male conjoined twins.

Fifty-eight-year-old Donnie and Ronnie Galyon live in Dayton. Crews are modifying their brother’s house in nearby Beavercreek so they can live with him.

The twins are in the Guinness Book of World Records. They’re joined at the torso and share a lower intestine. They’re moving in with their brother because they’re becoming unable to care for themselves.

Donations poured in when the project was announced in January but have dried up.

The Machias (muh-CHY’-us), N.Y., charity Christian Youth Corps heads the project. It says it’ll stop work within weeks if it doesn’t collect more money. President Pete Andrews says he’s confident the work will be completed.
