LONDON - The world has a “long wait” before Prince William marries Kate Middleton.

That’s the claim of socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, a close friend of the royal family and goddaughter of Prince Charles, reports The News of the World.

While rubbishing rumours of a pending royal wedding, Tara insisted that there is no way the lovebirds are getting set to tie the knot.

Speculation has been rife of a summer engagement after trusted author Tina Brown - who was a friend of Princess Diana’s - revealed how Buckingham Palace had “cleared its diary” for royal aides to announce the engagement at the beginning of June.

However, Tara, 38, said the nuptials are still a long ways off.

Tara insisted: “I think you’re all barking up the wrong tree. You’ve got a long wait.” (ANI)
