Pampers Recall Trashed By Company

SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- There seems to be quite an amount of contention regarding the newly launched product of Proctor and Gamble. However, the product, Swaddlers and Cruisers diapers, is not exactly newly launched, but is actually a revamped version of the same product. Earlier, the company used paper pulps in the product, but a few days back, they replaced it with the Dry Max technology. However, ever since, certain parents’ groups have been complaining that the children and toddlers have been suffering from rashes and blisters that resemble chemical burns. This has led to the assumption in many quarters that the company has issued a Pampers recall, but that is not true as of yet.
However, the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission is carrying out an investigation regarding the complaints, but they have not yet asked Proctor and Gamble to issue a Pampers recall. he complaints have come from some parents’ groups, who have requested the company to issue a recall of the product, and has also set up a Facebook page in which they have repeated the request, and has also suggested certain alternatives.
However, Proctor and Gamble have not only trashed reports of the Pampers recall, but they have also said that there is no such proof that the skin irritation is being caused due to the change in the technology used in the diapers. They said that they receive less than two complaints for every one million diapers sold by them, and that that certainly can be no cause for a recall. They also said that their researchers too have not found any evidence of the new technology causing the rashes.
