Assured Guaranty appoints new director
NEW YORK — Assured Guaranty Ltd. said Tuesday it has hired a new director of public finance business development for two of its subsidiaries.
The Bermuda-based bond insurer said Donald J. Farrell, an Ambac Assurance Corp. executive, is joining Assured Guaranty Corp. and Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp. He will focus on maintaining and expanding relationships with public finance and financial advisory firms in the Eastern region
The company’s stock fell 65 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $21.40 in afternoon trading amid a broader market slump Tuesday.
