Cops: NY man splashed bleach at Laundromat worker
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Police say a New York man was so enraged at a Laundromat employee who he believed had lost some of his clothes that he hit her in the face with an open bottle of bleach.
Randy Stith of Hempstead was charged Wednesday with assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Nassau County police say Stith went to Laundry Place in Hempstead on Saturday to pick up the clothes he had dropped off to be laundered. They say he got in a fight with an employee over the missing clothes and pushed her against a table. Then, they say he hit her in the face with an open bottle of bleach.
The bleach splashed into the woman’s eyes. She was treated at a hospital.
Police did not know if Stith had a lawyer.
