Agreement means more flights between US and Israel

WASHINGTON — The U.S. says there’s a deal with Israel to allow more flights between the two countries.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says the agreement lets each country pick routes and destinations based on demand for passenger and cargo services.

LaHood says there won’t be any limits on the number of U.S. or Israeli airlines that can fly between the two countries or on the number of flights.

He says U.S. and Israeli airlines can have joint marketing arrangements.
