Wash. school reopens after odor evacuation

TACOMA, Wash. — An elementary school in Tacoma, Wash., is open again, but officials haven’t discovered the source of a sickening odor that forced students and staff to evacuate last week.

Health investigators inspected Jennie Reed Elementary School on Friday night and gave it a clean bill of health.

About two dozen people were sickened by the gas-like odor Thursday, and eleven students were checked at a hospital for nausea and dizziness. Classes were canceled Friday.
