KULLU - Tourists and locals rejoiced as rains lashed Kullu and neighbouring areas of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday.

Rainfall, which started in the morning, brought relief from the rising temperatures as the showers brought an end to a two month long dry spell.

“It was very warm, the temperature had crossed 35 degrees. The temperature has fallen down with the rain,” said Yog Raj, a local.

Rain will provide relief to farmer and apple grower, who were faced with crop loss due to drought conditions in the region.

Met officials say the rains and thundershowers are expected to continue in coming days. (ANI)
