Indian road construction camp attacked in Afghanistan

KABUL - Armed militants attacked an Indian road construction camp in Domanda District in Afghanistan’s eastern Khost province, destroying many vehicles and heavy machinery.
No deaths or injuries were reported in the pre-dawn attack, which took place on Saturday, The Daily Times reports.
According to an official statement, suspected Taliban insurgents, targeted the construction camp with rockets and set fire to construction equipment and several vehicles.
The Taliban has targeted Indian establishments in Afghanistan on numerous occasions in the recent past.
In February, nine Indians were among 17 killed when Taliban suicide bombers carried out a string of attacks in the heart of Kabul.
The Indians, who died in the incident included government officials, an ITBP constable and a tabla player who was part of a cultural delegation to Afghanistan. (ANI)
