LUCKNOW - The Lucknow University students have complained of molestation by a Professor from the institute of tourism studies.

In her complaint, a student said that Professor Ajay Kumar exploited her on an education tour to Bangalore this march. “We came to know about his savagery during the tour. His behaviour was very normal in the class, but we came to know about him during the tour,” said the student.

The students have charged the Professor of indulging in vulgar talks on the tour and also having forced the girls to consume liquor.

The students claimed the Professor had warned them that if they would go against him, it would affect their internal marks. Professor Ajay Kumar has, however, denied all the allegations against him.

“I am completely denying the allegations. You don’t listen to few of them, but take a general view from all students and all colleagues,” said Kumar.

The girl students of the second semester of Bachelor of Tourism Administration approached the Tourism Department Head Professor Manoj Dixit with their complaints.

Professor Manoj Dixit said strict action would be taken in this regard, so that these acts not repeated in future.

“The reputation of a college is a very important thing. If the college does not take any action, then it affects the reputation. Such incidents keep happening in the society, but the way to react to them is more important,” said Professor Dixit.

“We expect the management from our college to take immediate action against it. Strict actions should be taken so that such incidents are not repeated in future,” he added. (ANI)
