Suspect sought in fatal NYC subway stabbings

NEW YORK — Police are searching for a man who witnesses say killed two Manhattan subway riders during a weekend confrontation.

A witness said one of the men meant to toss a bag of beer bottles out an open train door early Sunday. But it accidentally hit the suspect, who became enraged and fatally stabbed the men.

The two men had boarded the train in Times Square and were heading home from a party. They were found when the train stopped in lower Manhattan a few stops later.

The victims were identified as Darnell Morrell and Ricardo Williams.

A third man was wounded and treated at a hospital.
