REACH: Delta is the world’s biggest airline. It has a joint venture with Air France-KLM, as well as partnerships with other foreign carriers through its SkyTeam alliance.
GROWTH: Delta is talking to other carriers about expanding its global alliances. Among other things, it wants to increase its foothold in Asia.
WHAT’S AHEAD: New York is key for Delta as it expands domestically and internationally. Delta has a deal with US Airways to swap takeoff and landing slots at LaGuardia Airport. It is encouraging officials to upgrade the facilities at John F. Kennedy International Airport for its international flights.
