CHS says this year’s payout to owners is $225M
ST. PAUL, Minn. — CHS Inc., an energy and grain-based foods member-owned cooperative, said on Thursday that it expects to distribute up to $225 million to its owners.
CHS already has distributed $190 million of that to more than 37,000 individuals and 1,000 companies such as local cooperatives, most of them in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana. An additional $35 million in distributions is expected to go out later this year.
The distribution is based on the $381 million profit for the year that ended Aug. 31. Last year CHS distributed a record $339 million, and the year before that it paid out $339 million.
