Chiquita Brands expects revenue growth in 2010
NEW YORK — Chiquita Brands International Inc. on Tuesday said it expects 2010 earnings after non-cash interest expense between $102 million to $112 million.
It is aiming to produce revenue growth between 3 percent and 5 percent. In 2009, the company generated revenue of $3.47 billion, so the stated range implies revenue between approximately $3.57 and $3.64 billion.
On average, analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters forecast an annual profit of $2.31 per share and revenue of $3.47 billion.
Shares rose 13 cents to $14.78 in after-hours trading. During the regular session, shares dropped 63 cents, or 4.1 percent, to close at $14.65.
