Punjab police arrests two Khalistan Liberations Front members

PATIALA - Patiala police on Sunday nabbed two terrorists belonging to the Khalistan Liberations Front.

The two were arrested with eight kilograms of explosives. Around 40 rods of gelatin and two pistols were also recovered from their possession.

A police personnel in Patiala said, “The two were planning a major terror strike. Investigations are on to know in detail about all their motives.”he state has been put on high alert following their arrest.

The state police have in the last two months recovered explosives from two places in Patiala.

Earlier last month, the police had seized explosive materials outside an Indian Oil Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) refilling plant near Nabha town, around 25 kilometers from here.

Khalistan Liberation Front (KLF), a terrorist organisation was active in the state during years of Sikh militancy from 1982 to 1995.(ANI)
