SEOUL - South Korea’s Incheon International Airport, the gateway to Seoul, has been chosen as the world’s best airport for the fifth consecutive year in the latest customer satisfaction survey conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI), the Yonhap news agency said.
“Incheon International Airport topped the ACI’s Airport Service Quality survey for the fifth year in a row, defeating about 1,700 airports in 181 countries worldwide,” said the statement.
It is the first time that a single airport has secured the top post in the ACI’s Airport Service Quality survey for five consecutive years.
Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates had topped the ACI survey for three consecutive years in the past.
The ACI annually lists the top 108 airports worldwide with points awarded on the basis of a survey of passengers on 34 aspects of service, operation and facilities.
Incheon also claimed the top prizes in three other categories in the ACI survey, namely Best Airport Worldwide, Best Airport in the mid-to large-range and Best Airport in Asia-Pacific, the statement said.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference and Exhibition scheduled for May 13 in Hainan, China, Yonhap quoted as saying. (ANI)
