WELLINGTON - A New Zealand man is said to have spent 2000 dollars to book an advertisement on TV One to propose his girlfriend.

Businessman Todd Fuller, an Auckland advertising sales manager for APN newspapers, stood before a national television audience and asked his girlfriend to marry him on February 13 morning.

The woman, who accepted the proposal, said she was overwhelmed with all the media attention but is “very happy”, reports the New Zealand Herald.

Friends and family featured on the short-recorded clip, giving advice to Fuller’s girlfriend - including Fuller’s parents, who said, “we would love to be your in-laws”.

A beaming Fuller then jumped on screen and asked: “Will you marry me?”

He said he was “just trying to do something no-one else had done before”. (ANI)
