TRS defers its decision on mass resignation

HYDERABAD - The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) on Saturday deferred its decision to ask all its elected representatives to resign from their post in protest against the terms of reference of the Telangana Committee.

Earlier, the Telangana all party Joint Action Committee (JAC) urged TRS not to decide in hurry and wait for some time.

TRS politburo which met here decided to wait till the JAC final decision before putting papers.

The TRS has two Lok Sabha members, 10 MLAs in Andhara Pradesh assembly, and a council member.

Briefing the media after the politburo meeting party’s legislative unit leader E. Rajender, said if the JAC takes decision against the resignations, the TRS would go ahead with the resignations Sunday.

The JAC is expected to hold the meeting this evening.

On Friday, TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao announced mass resignations of his party’s MPs and legislators to protest the terms of reference of the Srikrishna panel.(ANI)
