NEW YORK - Scandal-hit golf star Tiger Woods is reportedly hoping to save his shattered marriage with a custom-designed sporting boat christened ‘Solitude.’

Tiger intends his 3-million-dollar dive boat to kick-start a new beginning for himself and former Swedish model Elin Nordegren.

“Maybe the boat will represent a new beginning for Tiger and Elin. Romantic sea air can do wonders for a troubled marriage,” the New York Daily News quoted a source as telling People.com.

The boat, which Woods had designed especially for avid diver Nordegren, was something they’d both wanted way before revelations of the golfer’s trysts with multiple women.

The couple did a lot of diving in early years of their relationship and had previously spoken of buying a dive boat.

“Tiger and Elin have continued diving when they are out for relaxation. And they talked about having a boat that would be mainly for this purpose,” a source said.

Two years in the making, the new dive boat is reportedly docked at the Pirate’s Cove Resort and Marina, close to Woods’ new estate on Jupiter Island.

When it is finished later this month, Solitude will become Woods’ second boat, the other being his 150-foot yacht Privacy. (ANI)
