Pune blast: Death toll reaches 8; three foreigners among the killed in bakery blast

PUNE - At least eight persons, including three foreign nationals, have died and 33 injured, including a Sudan national, in the bakery blast which has occurred here at about 7.30 p.m. in Koregaon Park.

NDTV report stated Home Ministry sources as saying that it looks like a bomb blast and it doesn’t look like any normal blast.

The blast occurred when an unidentified bag was being opened by someone, the report added.

Meanwhile, another unclaimed bag has been found at the place of incident.

Anti-terror squad is arriving at the place of incident for investigations, the report added. .

The blast incident has occurred at the German Bakery Koregaon Park. It is located near Osho Ashram which is visited by a lot of foreign nationals.

The injured, meanwhile, have been rushed to the nearby Sassoon Hospital.

The number of the injured is expected to rise. (ANI)
