PORTLAND, Ore. — In a headline and story Feb. 5 about executive compensation at Fortune Brands Inc., The Associated Press reported erroneously the value of Bruce A. Carbonari’s compensation in 2009. The calculated value is $10.3 million, not $9.9 million as reported in the story nor $8.9 million as reported in the headline. This represents an increase of 24 percent over the prior year, not 19 percent.
