ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s former parliamentary affairs minister Dr Sher Afgan Niazi has claimed that former president Pervez Musharraf would soon return to Pakistan to lead the All Pakistan Muslim League on his return.
“Presently, the SC is ruling the country. All factions of the PML would gather under the wise leadership of Musharraf,” The Nation quoted Niazi, as saying.
He added that the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was promulgate through mutual understanding between the PPP and PML(Q).
Niazi said that Musharraf was not among the perpetrators of the NRO, while President Asif Ali Zardari and the Parliament were made a scapegoat through the detailed verdict.
Furthermore, he added that it was a mistake of the Government not to defend the NRO in the court, and all efforts were being made to remove Zardari through courts.
He said that nine years of Musharraf’s regime were exemplary as the first time in the history of the country, the assemblies completed for five years’ term. (ANI)
