Maoists trigger landmine blast in Orissa, killing four civilians

BHUBANESWAR - Maoists blew up a jeep planting a land mine this morning at Jogipalur in Koraput district of Orissa killing four civilians and injuring two Special Operations Group personnel.

At least ten personnel were inside the jeep when the blast occurred.

On Friday, a group of armed Maoists damaged telecom mobile towers of BSNL and Airtel at Kudumulguma town in Malkangiri district.

The activists blasted the equipment box and burnt the generator sets of both the BSNL and Airtel towers, causing total disruption of telecommunication network.

Earlier on Tuesday night, a group of armed Maoists blasted the Airtel mobile tower by exploding explosives in Korapat District. (ANI)
