Heroin worth billions seized in Punjab

AMRITSAR - Special Operation Cell sleuths of Punjab Police have seized 28 kilograms heroin and arrested two persons.

The Special Operation Cell intercepted a Tavera car on Wednesday and recovered the heroin.

“Rajinder Singh, a resident of Chogawan and Baljit Singh, a resident of Delhi were arrested with a Tavera car, 25 kilograms of heroin was recovered from this car. Another three kilograms of heroin was also recovered,” said P K Rai, Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar.

The seizure drug is worth around 1.25 billion dollars in the international market. (ANI)
