Pak accuses India of destabilising regional peace and stability

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan has once again accused India destabilising the regional peace and stability.
“The Indian government persists with its propaganda campaign that only vitiates the atmosphere, darkens the horizon and dampens hopes for peace and tranquillity in South Asia,” The Daily Times quoted the Foreign Office (FO), as saying.
It vehemently rejected New Delhi’s charges of harbouring terrorism in India, saying such an attitude is dampening hopes of ‘ peace and tranquillity in South Asia.’
The Foreign Office asked India to introspect its own policies and conduct, especially with regard to the long pending issue of Kashmir.
“India remains out of tune with the realities of today,” it said.
Pakistan’s outburst comes just a day after Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said that it can has to and can do more to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure operating from its soil, and prevent the continuous targeting of innocent Indian citizens.
“The whole phenomenon of cross-border terrorism, as it affects us today has not diminished in any manner. All the events you have seen over the last few days basically point to the basic and undeniable fact that the infrastructure of terrorism, which operates out of Pakistan and territory under Pakistan control has not been dismantled and it continues to be directed against the Indian people,” Rao had said in an interview with a private television channel.
The concern over cross-border terrorism notwithstanding, Rao had said that the Indian Government continue to deal with the Government of Pakistan. (ANI)
