ISLAMABAD - People who were the culprits of former President General Pervez Musharraf’s downfall have now found a new ‘toy’ to play with in the form of President Asif Ali Zardari.

According to insiders, the so-called ’sympathisers’ have already entered Zardari’s inner circles and conspiring against the Presidency.

Controversial ISI deputy chief Maj-Gen (retd) Nusrat Naeem is the latest addition to this group of conspirators.

Naeem, however, categorically denied this charge and said he had met Zardari only once in the recent past, that too before he was elected as the head of the state.

Syed Sharifuddin Pirzada is another member of this group and part of Zardar’s inner club, The News reported.

It may be noted that Pirzada, who is more known for constitutional distortions, has now emerged as a treasured legal guide of Zardari, who often consults him for critical legal issues.

The Law Ministry, sources said, has also started getting involved in dubious activities that include providing ‘damaging’ information to some favoured media houses to malign the judiciary. (ANI)
