AirTran names former Atlanta police official to new post as director of corporate security

AirTran names corporate security director
ORLANDO, Fla. — Discount carrier AirTran Airways has tapped a former Atlanta Police Department official to be its director of corporate security.
AirTran said in a statement Thursday that it has appointed Alan Dreher to the newly created position.
Dreher most recently served as an assistant police chief in Atlanta.
At AirTran, Dreher will oversee corporate security and compliance with all federal security regulations. He will be based in Atlanta, where AirTran maintains its hub.
AirTran, a unit of AirTran Holdings Inc., is based in Orlando, Fla.
