ISLAMABAD - Leader of the opposition in the Pakistan National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that his party will not aid the rulers in bringing about a unanimous resolution in support of President Asif Ali Zardari in Parliament.
Nisar said that the whole of the PPP was revolving around one person and that was President Zardari thereby making a mockery of the institutions.
He said that instead of expressing his concerns against invisible forces working against the democratic institutions, President Zardari should have come to Parliament and unmasked the forces.
The minister also unleashed scathing criticism on the Government’s failure in handling the affairs, and said that they would not let the rulers make the institutions irrelevant.
“If the rulers were to bring resolutions, they should be for eliminating the poverty, price hike, terrorism and other issues of public importance,” The Nation quoted Nisar, as saying.
He emphasized that the assemblies should be utilized for solution of the problems confronting people like gas, power shortage, loadshedding, terrorism and foreign interference in the internal affairs of the country. (ANI)
