Detroit, (Gaea Times) The brave act of some passengers have saved the Northwest Airlines flight 253 and the passengers who were boarded it. A Nigerian terrorist, Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, alleged as a terrorist of suicidal squad has attempted to blast the aircraft and create a havoc in the Christmas morning. However, the passengers had noticed his activities and he had to drop his plan. The latest investigation reports indicate that the alleged Nigerian terrorist, who attempted a blast in Detroit, used PETN Explosive (Pentaerythritol Explosive).

As per the reports, PETN Explosive (Pentaerythritol Explosive), which was used by Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, alleged Nigerian terrorist, is one of the most powerful explosives. This is not the first time that the PETN explosive has been used for an explosion. Reports indicate that the explosive used for Detroit blast attempt was used by the Germans during the First World War. Not only this but also Richard Reid, who attempted to blow off an aircraft in 2001 also used the same explosive.

Sources also reported that the alleged terrorist has confessed his association with the Al Qaeda camp in Yemen and said that he has undertaken the operation under their guidance.
