NEW YORK - The Obamas have temporarily swapped the White House halls for a part of the 9-million-dollar palace in Oahu, Hawaii, where they have been spending Christmas.

The US First Family rented a house in the stunning Kailua Place compound on the Pacific with five bedrooms, oceanfront views and a lagoonlike pool.

The one-acre property boasts of a specially ordered fir tree that was brought in from the mainland for the family to decorate, reports the New York Post.

US President Barack Obama and wife Michelle were also said to have rented two neighbouring homes for friends to join them during the holidays. (ANI)
