Rahul Gandhi interacts with people in Amethi

MUNSHIGANJ/ JAYAS/ JAGDISHPUR - Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had a busy schedule on the second and last day of his visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi on Wednesday.

He attended a camp at an eye hospital in Munshiganj area of his constituency.

Gandhi also interacted with women groups of the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust in the Jayas area. He even did not disappoint people who came to meet him without schedule.n the Jagdishpur area, Gandhi visited a close aide of his family.

He also launched the Rajiv Gandhi Artisans Health Insurance scheme for women associated with self-help groups working at Sultanpur and Raebareli districts.

On this occasion he said that free medical treatment of up to Rs. 6,000 would be provided to women associated with the SHGs. Cards will be issued to the beneficiaries very soon under the scheme and they will be entitled to get free treatment at the Sanjay Gandhi hospital.

Earlier, Gandhi met various delegations, including students of some schools, party men and women at Munshiganj guest house where he was staying.

He also visited Rampatti village under Bhetua development block and took stock of local developmental works. (ANI)
