Gun battle on between security forces, Maoists in Dantewada

DANTEWADA - A heavy gun battle is on between Maoist and security forces in the Gumiapal forests of Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district.

Around 60 Maoists attacked security personnel, comprising of state police and Special Task Force (STF) personnel on Wednesday morning.

Heavy rain is blocking the arrival of reinforcements.ne police jawan is reported to have died. Further information is awaited.(ANI)
