Window washers stuck 35 floors above Seattle

SEATTLE — Authorities are trying to reach two window washers stuck 35 floors above downtown Seattle when their platform got stuck at an angle.

Seattle fire department spokeswoman Dana Vander Houwen (HOW’-en) says the platform’s rigging snagged Wednesday afternoon during a job at the Sheraton hotel, but that it is secure.

The two window-washers are wearing safety harnesses and are not injured.

Firefighters are trying to reach them from the roof of the building, which is 35 stories high.
