‘Offensive’ term ‘obese’ to be banned in Liverpool!

LONDON - The term ‘obese’ is set to be banned in Liverpool because it offends fat children, believe town hall bureaucrats.
According to council bosses, the word has too many “negative connotations”.
They plan to replace it with having an “unhealthy appetite”, reports The Daily Express.
The proposal to ban obese came from a Schools’ Parliament in Liverpool - made up of children.
Co-ordinator Jeff Dunn said: “The idea is that obesity has a negative connotation behind it.”
Half of 11-year old boys in the city and 40 per cent of girls are overweight with 1-in-20 “clinically obese”.
Anti-political correctness campaigner Philip Davies, Tory MP for Shipley, West Yorks, said: “Rather than worry about the words, they should be spending their time worrying about the issues themselves.”
A Liverpool City Council spokesman said: “All the young people’s recommendations will be considered.” (ANI)
