Ex-Miss England not to be taken to court for alleged assault

LONDON - A former Miss England arrested on suspicion of attacking a fellow beauty queen will not be taken to court.

Rachel Christie, 21, gave up her crown following accusations of assaulting Miss Manchester, Sara Beverley Jones, 24, at a Manchester city centre nightclub.

Christie was said to have punched Jones last November after the pair got into a row over David McIntosh, 22, who appears in the Sky1 TV series Gladiators under the name Tornado.

But now the Crown Prosecution Service has dropped the case due to lack of evidence, reports the Sun.

At the time of the alleged incident it was believed that Jones was McIntosh’s ex-flame and Christie was his current girlfriend. (ANI)
