LONDON - Dhruv Baker may have been crowned as the winner of the cookery game show Masterchef but he admits there is someone who hates the meals he cooks - his 20-month-old son Arun.
Dhruv, 34, who won the BBC1 contest beating rivals Alex Rushmer and Tim Kinnaird, still finds it hard to impress Arun.
“Arun’s my biggest critic, for sure. At least adults are tactful when they don’t like something,” the Mirror quoted Dhruv, as saying.
“Arun just turns his plate upside down and shouts out ‘Biscuits!’ t’s heartbreaking!” he added.
However, Arun is emulating his dad and enjoys helping in the kitchen alongside Dhruv and wife Aileen.
“He likes to chop carrots up with his plastic knife. He’s definitely enthusiastic - although he needs to work on his knife skills. He probably wouldn’t have any fingers left if he was using a real one,” Dhruv said.
And Dhruv, a former advertising boss, would love to have Alex and Tim help him with a restaurant he plans to open after gaining more experience in a professional kitchen.
He said: “The three of us have become really good friends.
“I wouldn’t have to think twice about having them work in my kitchen if they wanted to.” (ANI)
