LONDON - Bookies are convinced Prince William is likely to get engaged to his long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton this summer.

The Queen has reportedly “blocked out” two dates in June and it is expected an important announcement could soon be made.

Staff has been asked to keep themselves free from all engagements on June 3 and 4.

Furthermore, bosses at the Dom Perignon HQ in France have revealed 300 vintage bottles from the Queen’s private collection are ready to be shipped to England.

The news is the clearest sign yet that Prince William, 27, and Kate Middleton, 28, will finally walk down the aisle this year.

Bookies are so sure of an impending royal marriage that they rate the chances of a summer engagement as odds-on, and are offering punters just 1-2.

“A high-placed source in royal circles tells me two days in June have been mysteriously blocked out. This is a likely date for an engagement announcement,” the Sun quoted Tina Brown, 56, a close friend of Williams’ late mum Princess Diana, as writing online.

Brown believes the pair will tie the knot at St George’s Chapel at Windsor, where Williams’ dad Prince Charles, 61, took Camilla Parker Bowles, 62, as his wife.

St James’s Palace has kept mum on the issue. (ANI)
