LONDON - American business tycoon Donald Trump’s “best in the world” golf course has been unveiled by his team of designers.

His developers in Scotland released two views depicting two of the signature holes at the Menie estate in Aberdeenshire, which are sure to prove challenging even to the golfing ace, Tiger Woods.

The images show the daunting prospect they could be confronted with at both the opening hole of the course and the par-three sixth hole, the Scotsman reports.

The first hole could leave even Tiger struggling to make a par four, the paper adds.

A mighty 500 yards long off the championship tee, a drive will have to land on a fairway sandwiched between sand dunes on one side and strategically placed bunkers on the other, the report says.

The second shot will then have to find a plateau green fronted by an array of deep bunkers.

Equally challenging is the 185-yard par-3 sixth, which will leave golfers with the choice of having to make the green or facing the prospect of tearing up their card, the report notes.

Former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher said: “The two holes on the images look outstanding, and you get a good idea why he picked that part of the world for his first venture outside the US.”

Sarah Malone, the executive vice-president of Trump International Scotland, said she hoped the public would be impressed.

“All the holes are spectacular, and this is an insight into what some of the holes will look like. We always maintained that the course would be designed to work sensitively with the landscape,” she said. (ANI)
