LONDON - Two teenagers have been arrested over the murder of Indian origin ‘have-a-go hero’ Sukhwinder Singh, who pursued two men who robbed a 28-year-old woman near Barking station in east London.

The teenagers are being quizzed by murder squad detectives, News of The World reports.

Sukhwinder Singh, 31, a father-of-one, was stabbed after chasing thieves who had snatched a woman’s handbag in January.

The builder was rushed to the Royal London Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Three other men arrested days after the murder near Barking tube station in Essex on January 8 were released on bail.

Detective Inspector John Sandlin appealed for more witnesses to the “tragic crime”.

Singh had just saved up enough money to fly out to India to see his wife and son for the first time in ten years. (ANI)
