Apple iPad launch at a Glance
Apple’s iPad tablet device, with a touch screen that is 9.7 inches diagonally and meant for watching videos, browsing the Web and reading electronic books, goes on sale next month. Six models will be available.
Here are U.S. prices; international prices have not been disclosed.
On sale April 3 in the U.S. and late April overseas, a model with Wi-Fi connectivity only:
16 gigabytes of storage — $499
32 gigabytes — $599
64 gigabytes — $699
On sale late April in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, a model with Wi-Fi and “3G” cellular network connectivity:
16 gigabytes — $629
32 gigabytes — $729
64 gigabytes — $829
